Helen was the first child in the family thus naming her was an exciting task which was not taken lightly. Her father decided to name her Mildred Campbell, after an admired ancestor. But her mother suggested a name for the baby after her grandmother’s maiden name. Likewise she was named “Helen Everett” by her mother.
