While the SHARP program is effective in educating soldiers that the problems of sexual violence exist, the key finding is that it does not target the societal and gendered norms that have existed in the Army that perpetuate a culture which is conducive to harassment and assault.
Who is eligible for the sharp program?
Who is eligible for SHARP? For businesses already in OSHA’s On-Site Consultation Program: Everyone currently in the program. For new businesses who want to join: The size requirements for employer participation in SHARP are 250 or fewer onsite employees and fewer than 500 corporate-wide employees.
How do I become sharp certified?
To become a certified SARC or VA Specialist, candidates must complete the SHARP Career Course, which has been approved by the National Advocate Credentialing Program® (NACP), a program of the National Organization for Victim Assistance (NOVA).
