Is Reminiscence worth watching?

The film is bland and boring with a plot that makes no sense and emotion that fails to hit. The reality is that watching Reminiscence is an endurance test. It’s two hours of Jackman’s character, the sour-faced Nick Bannister, scowling through scenes and unloading exposition in his omnipresent voiceover.

Why did Reminiscence get bad reviews?

Despite the strong visuals and brooding tone, Reminiscence never quite manages to establish itself beyond its illustrious influences. As a result, many critics have suggested that the film just reminds them of better movies, rather than creating something genuinely new and memorable.

Was Reminiscence a flop?

Led by Jackman, a usual sure-fire box office draw, and a cast of talented and diverse faces, Reminiscence failed to ignite audiences, and the film would ultimately gross only $3.9 million in North America and $15.4 million worldwide.
