According to Page Six, Vanessa’s late father Charles Haydon was a good friend of the late Frank Pellegrino Sr., the owner of Rao’s, and Ron Straci, a founder and co-owner of Rao’s Specialty Foods. The restaurant came around first, and in 1992, the business followed in order to sell their signature marinara sauce.
