8GB in 2019 is a bit low, its enough to get things done for most games, but rust’s ram requirements are high because of the engine, the ram goes up to 11gb for me, starts at 4 (making it playable) but everytime i go near a big base it goes up, never exceeds 12gb though. Just invest in more ram.
