Can you remove host tether distance ARK? You can use the ARK server manager to make it pretty easy, really. No tether there. You can change the distance in non dedicated settings screen. The slider goes to 3x but you can type a number in the box next to it to override.

The only way to turn it off is to change to a dedicated unofficial server. Whoever hosts the world now can run an unofficial server, and the world save can be copied over too so you won’t lose anything.

the number sets max tether distance in increments of 200m We just did a game with it set to 100.0 (which should be max of 20,000 m) and I can be on opposite corner of island than host (over 8200m away) still no issues. Its all still relevent no matter how old the thread is now
