Parler’s new host is SkySilk Cloud Services, a web infrastructure company based in Los Angeles who said of their hosting of Parler that “Skysilk does not advocate nor condone hate, rather, it advocates the right to private judgment and rejects the role of being the judge, jury, and executioner.”
Is Parler operating now?
Parler is announcing their official relaunch today. The website and app went down in January after Amazon Web Services removed them from the hosting service. The announcement also names Mark Meckler as interim CEO, and claims that Parler has over 20 million users.
Why did AWS drop parlor?
Amazon is no longer providing cloud services to Parler, a social media app popular with Trump supporters. Amazon said Parler hosted “violent content” that violates its terms of service. The suspension took effect at midnight Sunday.
