Is 16gb of RAM too much for Minecraft?
Probably not. For a higher-end sports car? Probably. I usually do 6gb just in case, but minecraft should run on 4gb unless you are doing some pretty intense stuff that would require more ram, and with mods I would do 8gb–10gb.
How many GB is a good Minecraft server?
If you’re using a vanilla server, 512 – 2048 MB of RAM would be enough. If you’re running spigot with loads of plugins, then I’d recommend 4GB+ of RAM!
How many GB of storage does a Minecraft server need?
Hosting A Server
If you host a server on Minecraft, you have other players with their own worlds and mods on your system. It means your occupied storage will multiply by the number of players. All of these elements can add up to take huge parts of your disk space, sometimes amounting to 20 to 30 GB.
