I think they are probably true to size or a tiny bit small. I bought my DD leggings and they are exactly the same length as the size below from Next (age 2 gap & 18-24 next) however they have plenty of growing room so the correct size would probably be perfect fit (but not for long). Depends on the size range.

Go one size smaller in Gap jeans, and if you’re getting bootfit/boyfit/easyfit I would recommend 2 sizes smaller 🙂 Also Gap size in US, so if you are a UK8 you will need a US4, one size smaller will be a US2!
