Does Rue ever get sober season 2?

After the tumultuous events in episode 5, Rue (Zendaya) was seen sober in the finale, looking healthy and upbeat as she made amends with her friends and family. She was also even able to say goodbye to someone who she believed to be the love of her life.

Why does Laurie inject Rue?

As we saw in the episode, Laurie actually had pills that Rue could take to stop her withdrawal, but instead, Laurie chose to give Rue morphine through injection. She wanted Rue to become even more reliant on her, and therefore found a way to encourage Rue to fall deeper and deeper into her addiction.

What happen to Rue in season 2?

Rue revealed in the final moments of Season 2, she managed to stay clean the rest of her school year, and the finale showed she managed to make amends with several people in her life, minus Jules.

Why did Rue relapse in season 2?

When Rue decides not to go, Jules still leaves East Highland. This upsets Rue and she walks home, crying as she loses the love of her life. It is when Rue is back home that she snorts a line of drugs and relapses.
