(Gray News) – Many retailers are planning to close for Thanksgiving again this year to give employees a day off while focusing on online sales instead. Walmart, Target and Best Buy are among the national chains that plan to stay closed Nov. 24.

Yes. Walmart is not open on Thanksgiving 2022. A representative for the company confirmed to Glamour that stores will be closed on Thursday, November 24, and reopening on Friday, November 25. Check your local store for Black Friday hours.

Is Walmart doing Black Friday on Thanksgiving?

The final week for Black Friday deals will start on Nov. 21 at 7 p.m. EDT and in-store sales will be offered on Nov. 25, which is the official date for Black Friday this year. (Keep in mind that Walmart stores will not be open for in-person shopping on Thanksgiving Day this year.)
