Where is Flume based?

Sydney-based Harley Streten, aka Flume, got his first taste for producing at age 13 from the most unlikely of places – a music production program he found in a cereal box.

Where did Flume grow up?

He grew up on the Northern Beaches of Sydney with a younger sister and brother, and attended Seaforth Public School for primary school and St Augustine’s College, Brookvale and Mosman High School for secondary school.

Who is Flume inspired by?

Without the likes of Flying Lotus, J Dilla, and Tokimonsta to inspire him, the world may have never even known of Flume.

How did flume get started?

Flume was born and lived in Sydney’s Northern Beaches and gravitated toward music from a young age. He entered an original artists competition in 2011 and won it. That competition was through Australian record label Future Classic, which he is still signed to. Since then he has not looked back.

Does flume live in LA?
