Why did the beast target Quentin?
The beast want to rule Fillory and take control of all magic, and as far as knows, Quentin is blocking him from that (and has been for 30-something lives) Also he is a deeply scarred being that hates the world because or his awful childhood and magic removed all his humanity.
Does Quentin ever come back?
But the truth is that Quentin isn’t coming back to ‘The Magicians. ‘ Showrunners Sera Gamble and John McNamara have confirmed that Quentin is definitely dead and will not be revived.
Why is Quentin so important in The Magicians?
Quentin may be the main character of the series with most events revolving around him, but that doesn’t mean he’s the most powerful magician on the show. That being said, he is a very skilled magic user and has demonstrated an ability to adapt to any situation and cast whatever spell necessary.
